Dakuku Mourns Late Bayelsa Deputy Governor

 

 


Foremost turnaround expert and celebrated author, Dr. Dakuku Peterside has joined people from all walks of life mourning the sudden death of Bayelsa Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Oborawharievwo Ewhrudjakpo.

In a condolence letter addressed to the Governor of Bayelsa, Senator Douye Diri and personally signed by him, he noted that the demise of the deputy governor is a huge loss to all those who knew him.

Peterside, who is also a former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), stated that late Senator Ewhrudjakpo was a distinguished public servant and leader.

Part of the condolence message reads “It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that I received the news of the sudden and untimely passing of your esteemed Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Oborawharievwo Ewhrudjakpo.

“Senator Ewhrudjakpo was not only a distinguished public servant but also a visionary leader whose impact on the development and transformation of Bayelsa State will be remembered for generations. As a team, you and the late Deputy Governor achieved remarkable milestones, steering
the state through periods of progress and change with remarkable unity and purpose.

“His unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people, his integrity, and his passion for public service set a benchmark for leadership that will continue to inspire. The loss of such a dedicated son of Bayelsa is not only a personal tragedy but also a national one.

“His contributions to governance, his advocacy for development, and his selfless service will leave an enduring legacy. In this moment of grief, I pray that the Almighty God grants you, the family of the late Deputy Governor, and all who mourn him the strength, comfort, and peace to bear this
heavy burden.”
