Our attention has been drawn to a poster circulating on social media portraying the Managing Director, of Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Chief Samuel Ogbuku PhD, as an aspirant for the position of Governor of Bayelsa State under the banner of “The Youths Mandate 2027.”
We wish to categorically state that Dr. Samuel Ogbuku has no knowledge of, nor any connection whatsoever with this poster or its sponsors. At no time has he declared or informed anyone of any political ambition or intention to contest for the governorship of Bayelsa State.
Dr. Ogbuku remains fully committed to his current responsibilities as the Managing Director of the NDDC, diligently implementing the Commission’s mandate in alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for sustainable development in the Niger Delta region.
This misleading publication is the handiwork of mischief-makers and detractors who are bent on distracting the Managing Director from his focused service to the people of the region. The general public is therefore advised to disregard this poster and any related materials as they do not emanate from Dr. Ogbuku or his office.
